Dehydrated Orange Flakes
A little of a lot, and a hundred bells bing.
Lift perhaps to sing, a rest and pinch of zest.
Whilst bunches of green bulge from tops of trees.
Water feature fountains, fruits of passion in mind.
I am but a flake on the surface of the scene.
Soon to wash through upon the public parade.
A symmetry there seems, in a citrus cross section.
And then just the thought of it lasting a little longer.
Rather certain they would like to see what I am writing.
Scupltures of animals people and props forged of bronze.
A great many flowers but no fruit on which to feed.
From a can just will not do, just not the dream come true.
Preserved to serve, thought of tingle on tantalized tongue.
